On 13th March, Lv Wei, Executive Secretary of the European-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EAcham), and her delegation visited the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CASME) and had an in-depth exchange of views on the future cooperation between the two parties. The purpose of the exchange was to enhance mutual understanding and explore opportunities for cooperation.

Chen Jing, Vice President of the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CASME), warmly welcomed the visit of the European-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EAcham), and the two sides held extensive and in-depth discussions on the contents and modes of future co-operation.

Lv Wei, Executive Secretary General of the European-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EAcham), said that the purpose of this visit was to further understand the current development situation and trend of the Chinese Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CASME), as well as to seek opportunities for co-operation with the Chinese side in the relevant fields. They believe that by strengthening the exchanges and co-operation between this time, they can build a platform for exchanges and co-operation between Chinese SMEs and European enterprises in related fields, and promote mutually beneficial co-operation between the two sides in various fields.

Chen Jing, Vice President of China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CASME), said that CASME is very willing to cooperate with European and American Chambers of Commerce and Industry, to play a role in their respective fields, and to make joint efforts for the sake of SMEs' convergence with the world, to strive for optimal enterprise development, to attract foreign investment in a wider scope, and to share the prosperity with the world, and so on.

The two sides also had in-depth exchanges on other issues of common concern, including the main mechanism of the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and its annual activities. Both sides agreed that strengthening communication and co-operation is an important way to promote the development of the relationship between SMEs in China and Europe, and expressed that they will continue to maintain close contact and jointly make positive contributions to the co-operation and development between Chinese and European enterprises.

The visit deepened the understanding and mutual trust between the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two sides. Both sides expect that with joint efforts, they will be able to work together in future activities and become an important platform for exchanges and co-operation between Chinese and European enterprises, and jointly promote the economic and trade relations between China and Europe to a new level.
