On 14th March, Lv Wei, Executive Secretary General of the European-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EAcham), and his delegation paid a visit to CECC to have an in-depth exchange of views on the future cooperation between the two parties. The purpose of the exchange was to enhance mutual understanding and explore opportunities for cooperation.

Mr Hou Zhihua, Deputy Director of CEC, warmly welcomed the visit of EAcham, and the two sides held extensive and in-depth discussions on the content and mode of future cooperation.

Lv Wei, Executive Secretary General of Euromedicine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that this visit is to further understand the current development status and trend of CECC, as well as to seek opportunities for cooperation with the Chinese side in related fields. They believe that by strengthening the communication and cooperation between this time, they can build a platform for the exchange and cooperation between Chinese enterprises in the field of e-commerce and European enterprises in related fields, and promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides in various fields.

Mr Hou Zhihua, Deputy Director of CECC, said that CECC is very willing to cooperate with the European and American Chambers of Commerce and Industry, to play a special role in their respective fields, and to work together for the sake of China's e-commerce enterprises to connect with the world, to strive to optimise the development of the enterprises, to attract foreign investment in a wider scope, and to work together with the world for common prosperity, and so on.

The two sides also had in-depth exchanges on other issues of common concern, including the main mechanism of the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and its annual activities. Both sides agreed that strengthening communication and co-operation is an important way to promote the development of the relationship between the e-commerce fields of China and Europe, and expressed that they will continue to maintain close contact and jointly make positive contributions to the development of co-operation between Chinese and European enterprises in the field of e-commerce.

This visit has deepened the understanding and mutual trust between ECCI and CECC, and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two parties. Both parties look forward to working together in future activities to become an important platform for exchanges and co-operation between Chinese and European enterprises, and to jointly promote China-EU economic and trade relations to a new level.
