The China-West Africa International Trade DIgital Expo was successfully held on September 1,2,5,6,7,8 for Six days online via Zoom application, with the topic including textile, consumer entertainment, agricultural products, building materials and hardware, health and epidemic prevention materials, and auto parts.

We EAcham as the host, have successfully invited over 120 entrepreneurs from 23 African countries, including Benin, Guinea, Niger, Cameroon, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria, the Central African Republic, Gabon, Congo and etc. With an average of more than 20 buyers attending online each day, the total number of participants has reached more than 400 people over the 6  days.

 This fair is a major measure to promote trade between China and African countries in the post-epidemic period. It has effectively promoted economic and cultural exchanges between China and Africa, and promoted bilateral cooperation to meet broader development. Through this event, the "Belt and Road" cooperation has been imbued with new connotations. At the same time, the year 2022 is the second year of the implementation of China's 14th Five-Year Plan and the second year of the construction of free trade zones on the African continent. The construction of African free trade zone means to break the barriers of tariff imposed by protectionism and unilateralism.

  As the world economic instability increased under the background of uncertainty, China and Africa will steadily build "Belt and Road" as an opportunity to achieve common development through complementary advantages, to promote the comprehensive strategic cooperative relations to achieve greater development,and to promote the construction of global unified destiny.

The China-Central & West Africa International Trade Digital Expo is held under the cooperation between the European and American Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The form is novel and concise, and we will try to explore various forms of meetings, such as symposiums, online round-table meetings, and matchmaking meetings in the near future.
