Chinese consumers have become more cautious and price-sensitive as turbulence becomes the new normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an industrial report said.Beverage products witnessed 5.9 percent growth in 2021, reversing the downward trend of a 4.1 percent fall in 2020, according to a report on Chinese consumers released by Bain & Company and Kantar Worldpanel on Tuesday.

China Broadcasting Network Corp Ltd (China Broadnet), the country's fourth-largest telecom operator, officially launched its 5G services on Monday, with the lowest package priced at 118 yuan ($17.65) per month, which industry experts said will up the ante for 5G competition in the world's largest 5G market.

Coca-Cola, the world's leading beverage maker, has recently rolled out its first ready-to-drink (RTD) herbal tea product on the Chinese mainland as part of its attempts to better adapt to the local market. The new herbal tea beverage, made with self-heal plant-a low-growing plant with analgesic, cooling and antibacterial effects-is a product by HealthWorks, a Coca-Cola unit located in Hong Kong since 2005.

Tencent unveiled on Friday its latest Vehicle-Cloud Integration strategy to improve mobility experience. The suite of new services announced by Tencent Intelligent Mobility included Tencent Intelligent Automobile Cloud, a one-stop cloud solution tailored for the intelligent auto industry, and Tencent Integrated Automobile Safety Solution, which covers all aspects of cloud management.

China's economic recovery is set to gather pace in the second half of the year after growth stabilized in May, and the country is likely to keep full-year growth within a reasonable range with more targeted and effective policies, economists and analysts said.
