McDonald's China on Monday launched a new product, the Crispy Tofu Burger, as part of its monthly Members' Day Creative Menu to attract more customers with local cuisine preferences. The new product with the tastes of Central China's Hunan region adds tofu, a new protein category to McDonald's menu, offering a multi-dimensional experience beyond the usual chicken and beef.

The import and export values of goods transported via the border port of Erenhot in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region posted a yearly increase of 38.2 percent to reach 22.04 billion yuan ($3.42 billion) in the first eight months of this year, local customs said Friday.

The Chinese mainland on Sunday reported 28 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, all in Fujian Province, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Monday.Also reported were 21 new imported cases, including nine in Yunnan, four in Shanghai, two each in Zhejiang, Guangxi and Sichuan, one each in Fujian and Shandong.

China will launch the Tianzhou-3 cargo spacecraft on Monday afternoon, the China Manned Space Agency said.The Long March-7 Y4 carrier rocket, carrying the Tianzhou-3 cargo spacecraft, is filled with propellant and ready for the launch planned at around 3pm (Beijing Time) Monday, said the CMSA.

DeepWay, a Baidu-backed company, on Thursday night unveiled Xingtu, a smart new energy heavy-duty truck, marking Baidu's entry into the multi-trillion-dollar global freight market. The first generation of Xingtu is designed to enable L3 self-driving on high-speed freight routes and achieve L4 capabilities on these same routes between 2024 and 2026.

Major global automakers and experts have called for more intensive cooperation in the field of new energy vehicles (NEVs) to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality.
