The world's largest planetarium opened its doors to the public on Sunday.There was a scramble to get tickets to the Shanghai Astronomy Museum. As soon as online reservation opened, tickets for the first week soon sold out.The first 5,828 visitors joyfully made their way for the long-awaited visits to the museum on Sunday. Of them, Mao Yiwen, 18, arrived around 7:30am, two hours before the opening, becoming the first to enter the museum.

The Chinese mainland on Saturday reported one new locally transmitted COVID-19 case in Yunnan, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Sunday. Also reported were 32 new imported cases, of which 11 were reported in Yunnan, four each in Beijing, Fujian and Guangdong, three in Sichuan, two in Shaanxi, and one each in Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Hubei.

Chinese ride-hailing platform Didi Chuxing on Saturday pushed back against online rumors that its services would be suspended from July 20. "The claims that our ride-hailing services would be suspended from July 20 were incorrect, and we have reported the rumors to the public security organ and the Cyber Security Review Office," the company posted on Sina Weibo.

The north extensions of Guangzhou Metro Line 18 and Line 22 recently completed their second environmental impact assessment. According to the report, in the future it will take 30 minutes between Huadu and Guangzhou's downtown, 45 minutes between Baiyun International Airport and Nansha, and 45 minutes between Qingyuan and Guangzhou.
