United Office Platform of Global Chambers Officially Launched!!!

On January 10, 2020, the launching ceremony of the United Office Platform of Global Chambers was grandly held in Room 609, Building B, National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). A total of 50 Chinese and foreign guests attended the event, including President Gu Lianyun of Shanghai West Hongqiao Business Development Co., Ltd and Director Shi Xiaoping of the Coordination Office of China International Import Expo of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Representative of Shanghai Hongqiao Business District Management Committee, Representative of National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), Representative of Shanghai Qingpu District Commission of Commerce, etc.

The diplomatic missions in Shanghai that attended the launching ceremony were: Mr. Hon. Anderson N. Madubike, Consul General of Consulate General of Nigeria in Shanghai; Mr.Nestor Enrique Torres Olivera, Consul General of Consulate General of Cuba in Shanghai; Ms. Manorie Mallikaratchy, Consul General of Consulate General of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Shanghai; Mr. Nawab Ali Rahoojo, Acting Consul General of Consulate General of Pakistan in Shanghai; Mr. Guillermo Mendoza, Deputy Consul of the Consulate General of Peru in Shanghai. Representatives of representative offices of overseas non-governmental organizations in China who participated in the launching ceremony are: Chief Representative Xie Jianzhong of the Chongqing Representative Office of EU-China Commission, Chief Representative Wang Qiuyang of the Beijing Representative Office of Canada China Committee, Deputy Executive Secretary-General Zhou Yang of European American Chamber of Commerce and Industry(Belgium) Beijing Representative Office, Director Han Yunming of Beijing Representative Office of Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

United Office Platform of Global Chambers is a supporting project of the Qingpu District Government to implement the Shanghai decisive plan for China International Import Expo(CIIE), and is an important starting point to amplify the driving and spillover effects of the CIIE. It is a one-stop, all-round business service platform operated by Huanzhou Commerce Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd to meet the actual needs of the economic and trade public welfare activities of the representative offices of overseas non-governmental organizations in commerce and trade in China. It is designed to meet the requirements of relevant Chinese laws and regulations. Under the premise of the law, it is convenient for the majority of foreign non-governmental organizations in commerce and trade to actively participate in the expo, help their overseas member companies to invest in China, and provide services for economic and trade exchanges. The first batch of representative offices of foreign non-governmental organizations in China that use the service platform of United Office Platform of Global Chambers are: European American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Belgium) Beijing Representative Office, Beijing Representative Office of Canada China Committee, Chongqing Representative Office of EU-China Commission, Beijing Representative Office of Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Ms. Gao Ying, President of the platform operating unit Huanzhou Commerce Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, introduced the background and planning of the United Office Platform of Global Chambers, and expressed that it plays a bridge role to further enhance more open ideological services to connect overseas member companies to actively integrate into Qingpu District and Shanghai, and actively participate in international exchanges and economic and trade cooperation for Shanghai and Qingpu District.
