Although China has not set a full-year economic growth target for this year, authorities are still focused on seeing the national economy embrace stability and reform.

With its vessels having delivered many batches of aircraft components from Germany to Airbus SE's Tianjin plant, medical supplies from China to countries including Italy, Greece and Uruguay, and frozen pork from Canada to Shanghai so far this year, China COSCO Shipping Corp has been rushing to fix and prevent disruptions to the world's industrial and supply chains caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The newly-announced reform package will ease bottlenecks in China's financial system for increased support to needy small businesses, while ensuring financial stability, experts said on Thursday.

China has seen major economic indexes sustain improving momentum since March, with consolidated epidemic control efforts and the restoration of economic activities.

The government has more room to put precise policies in place to advance strategic emerging industries and cutting-edge technologies, as they will enhance China's industrial and supply chain strength, said a member of the country's top political advisory body.

New measures announced by the central government will help stabilize the global supply chains and enable civil aviation enterprises to upgrade their international cargo handling capacities, industrial experts said on Wednesday.

Chinese battery company Svolt, a spin-off of Great Wall Motors, revealed two cobalt-free batteries last week. They are the latest example in the new energy vehicle sector to extend driving ranges while reducing the reliance on scarce materials.
