In 1988, the Swiss Nestle company set up China's first coffee factory in Dongguan, which is also the first Fortune 500 company in Dongguan. In 2022, Dongguan's total trade with Europe reached 26.6 billion euros, accounting for 13.5% of the city's import and export. In recent years, Dongguan has vigorously promoted the strategy of "scientific and technological innovation + advanced manufacturing". If the advanced manufacturing industry and scientific research achievements in Europe can be combined with Dongguan's complete manufacturing system and excellent results transformation ability, more sparks will be collided to achieve the combination of strong and strong. Pascal Gretler, an official of the Swiss Federal Government, said in his speech that Switzerland is one of the earliest Western countries to establish diplomatic relations with China, and the earliest continental European country to sign an FTA with China, and that the two countries established an innovative strategic partnership in 2016, with frequent exchanges and close cooperation between the two sides. In the future, we hope to continue to deepen the economic and trade cooperation between Switzerland and China to achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation.
