China launched on Friday a large language artificial intelligence model powered by domestic supercomputing and intelligent computing platforms, in its latest push to accelerate the development of AI. The large language model, whose name is roughly translated as Tianhe Tianyuan, is trained on Chinese big data sets and will help promote the application of domestic heterogeneous supercomputing platforms in AI products and services, according to its developer the National Supercomputing Center of Tianjin.
