China will support its exporters to participate in various business exhibitions abroad and closely cooperate with trading partners to put its foreign trade growth on a firmer footing in 2023, government officials said on Thursday.

The Chinese economy is expected to grow further in 2023 thanks to policies of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Turkish experts have said. Selcuk Colakoglu, director of the Ankara-based Turkish Center for Asia-Pacific Studies, told Xinhua in a recent interview that China's economy has entered a period of solid recovery, especially after the optimization of COVID-19 control measures at the beginning of this year.

China, with its benign inflation rate, is capable of playing a pivotal role in helping cool soaring global inflation and will continue to ensure strong economic recovery and mild price fluctuations this year, analysts and executives said.

As the first multinational healthcare company to settle in the Lingang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk announced at the end of last year that it would invest 400 million yuan ($59.6 million) in a newly established company in the area.

China's State-owned enterprises are expected to post higher revenues and build more pioneers in modern industrial chains this year as the country has completed all the major tasks of its three-year action plan for the reform of SOEs (2020-22), said market observers and business executives on Thursday.

China launched its 2023 Time-honored Brand Carnival on Saturday in Qingdao, East China's Shandong province, amid the country's efforts to promote consumption. The carnival aims to provide more quality goods of the time-honored brands and create new consumption scenarios for consumers, said Commerce Minister Wang Wentao in a video address at the launch ceremony.

As China's economy rebounds following its optimized COVID-19 response, global companies are eyeing the upcoming third China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) as a platform to gallop into the market. This year's CICPE is scheduled to be held from April 10 to 15 in Haikou, the capital city of south China's tropical island province of Hainan.
