Budweiser Brewing Company APAC Limited has vowed to continue its expansion strategy for China after registering increased revenue in the first half of the year, thanks to rising women consumers and an increasing appetite for the company's premium beer. The company saw a decline in sales volume as channels got disrupted because of sporadic COVID-19 outbreaks, but the business recovered in June once the conditions improved.

A fully automated terminal, the first of its kind built in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, began operations on Thursday at Nansha port in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province. This is part of the fourth phase of the modernization of Nansha port, combining multimodal services related to sea, river and railway transportation in the area, according to Guangzhou Port Group.

Tianjin Dongjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone is set to deliver its 2,000th aircraft on Friday via financial leasing tools since the first such plane was leased there in 2009. The zone also inked partnership agreements with financial leasing and client companies on Thursday, which are expected to see greater portfolios for its financial leasing products and a major surge in its financial leasing assets.

Gansu's GDP increased by 4.2 percent year-on-year, reaching over 523 billion yuan ($77.6 billion) in the first half of this year, according to the Gansu Provincial Bureau of Statistics. Trade in the first half of the year maintained fast growth. The total value of imports and exports in Gansu reached 32.58 billion yuan, a 24.6 percent increase year-on-year.

Pork prices in China edged down compared to a week ago, official data showed. From July 18 to July 22, the average pork price tracked by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs was 29.79 yuan ($4.42) per kg, down 2.7 percent week on week.
