China Mobile, the world's largest telecom carrier by mobile subscribers, unveiled its overall architecture design on 6G on Tuesday as it steps up its push on the research and development of the next-generation wireless technology.

The technology industry will remain dynamic in terms of recruitment and will be the largest recruitment market in China in 2022, as enterprises in various sectors are speeding up their digital transformation and development of digital technologies, which leads to surging demand for related talents, said a report released by Hays, a global professional recruiting group.

The Chinese mainland on Monday reported nine locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases, including six in Shanghai and three in Beijing, the National Health Commission said on Tuesday. A total of 25 local asymptomatic carriers were newly identified in six provincial-level regions, including 10 in Jilin, six in Liaoning, and three in Shanghai.

The flood control and drought relief headquarters of east China's Jiangxi Province upgraded the flood control emergency response to level II on Monday evening, as around 485,000 residents were affected by lingering rain. From Saturday to 3pm on Monday, heavy rain and floods had hit 55 counties across Jiangxi, with 43,300 hectares of crops affected.

Trust levels in science and scientists have been discovered to be highest among Chinese in a global survey on the state of science released on Monday by conglomerate 3M. Around 97 percent of correspondents in China said they trust in science, compared with the global 90 percent, while 92 percent expressed that they want to hear more from scientists about their work (versus 83 percent globally), according to the 2022 3M State of Science Index.

China's eastern province of Shandong sealed foreign investment deals worth $15.6 billion for 99 projects in various cities on Monday. Global companies from 16 countries and regions, including Japan's Mitsui & Co Ltd and Germany's ZF Friedrichshafen AG, are among the big-name signatories.

Cainiao Network has introduced an international logistics service promising "port-to-warehouse" delivery between China and the United States within 30 days, the latest move to facilitate cross-border transportation and bolster exports by Chinese merchants.
