Beijing reported 20 new locally transmitted COVID-19 infections during the first 15 hours of Friday, according to local authorities.Liu Xiaofeng, deputy head of the Beijing municipal disease prevention and control center, said at a press briefing that the cases were distributed across five districts of Beijing, with 10 in Fengtai, seven in Haidian, and one each in Dongcheng, Chaoyang and Mentougou.

The Chinese mainland on Thursday reported 80 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 45 were in Shanghai and 22 in Beijing, the National Health Commission said on Friday. Five other provincial-level regions on the mainland also saw new local COVID-19 cases, including seven in Tianjin, and two each in Jilin and Sichuan.

A freight train loaded with 50 containers departed Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on Thursday morning, bound for Budapest, Hungary. It was the first China-Europe freight train departing from Ningxia. It is expected to reach its destination in 21 days, passing through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland and Hungary, a trip of 8,500 kilometers.
