A new air freight route has been launched linking the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen with Leipzig, Germany, the Shenzhen Baoan International Airport said Tuesday. The route is operated by the cargo airline AeroLogic, with six round trips made by Boeing 777 all-cargo aircraft each week.

The oil and gas output of Daqing Oilfield Co Ltd stood at 10.61 million metric tons of oil equivalent in the first quarter of 2022, the company said Tuesday. Daqing Oilfield, located in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, is one of the country's largest oil production bases. Last year, the company's oil and gas output reached 43.22 million tons of oil equivalent.

The Chinese mainland on Monday reported 1,251 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and 23,295 asymptomatic infections, the National Health Commission's Tuesday report showed. Of the new local confirmed cases, 994 were reported in Shanghai, while 171 were reported in Jilin. Also, Hainan reported 21 cases, Guangdong reported 16, Jiangsu reported 14 and Zhejiang reported 11, according to the commission.

The outlook for the global economy has darkened since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the World Trade Organization (WTO) said in its annual trade statistics and outlook report published on Tuesday.

Authorities in Zhejiang province have rolled out 53 measures to maintain sustainable growth in service industries such as catering and tourism through the end of this year, according to a recent circular jointly issued by 14 government departments, including the provincial Development and Reform Commission.

Food companies are sparing no efforts to provide supplies to medical staff and patients amid the current COVID-19 outbreak. Yum China, which operates brands from KFC, Pizza Hut to Lavazza, is offering a special breakfast combo to over 3,000 medical workers from outside of Shanghai who are helping with mass testing and patient treatment.
