Tencent Holdings Ltd recognizes that a "new paradigm" is taking shape in the internet industry and will adopt a cautious stance on business expansion henceforth, its top executives said late on Wednesday, after reporting the company's slowest pace of revenue growth in years.

Shanghai's airports, railway stations and international cargo transports will operate normally during the city's staggered lockdown on either side of the Huangpu River through April 5. Also, the emergency departments of local hospitals will continue offering medical services. Each district will have designated hospitals to receive patients under lockdown, authorities announced on Monday.

The Chinese mainland on Sunday reported 1,219 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, the National Health Commission's Monday report showed. Of the new local infections, 1,086 were reported in Jilin, 50 in Shanghai, 12 in Liaoning, and 10 in Heilongjiang.

China has announced tax-relief policies for parents rearing children under 3 years old, according to a State Council circular issued on Monday. Starting Jan 1, 2022, the individual taxable income of such parents can be reduced by a total of 1,000 yuan ($157) per month for each baby, said the circular.
