The wholesale prices of China's agricultural products went down on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The latest China agricultural product wholesale price index came in at 135.45, down 0.95 points from the previous day.

China has set up a total of 1.43 million 5G base stations as of the end of 2021 amid the country's efforts to boost information and communication technologies, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The figure accounted for over 60 percent of the global total, with 10.1 5G base stations serving every 10,000 people in China, nearly doubling from the end of 2020, the ministry said.

Hong Kong reported 986 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, according to data from the Center for Health Protection on Thursday. Of the 986 newly reported cases, one was imported and the rest were local cases. Most of them were infected with the Omicron strain. There were another 800 cases preliminarily tested positive.

Qingdao Port, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group and the second-largest foreign trade port in China, is accelerating efforts in green transition by building a hydrogen refueling station to supply clean energy for its operations. With construction to be completed in March, the refueling station will be the first one that is settled in port areas in China.

The Chinese mainland on Wednesday recorded seven locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, all reported in Guangxi, the National Health Commission said on Thursday. Wednesday also saw six provincial-level regions reporting 22 imported COVID-19 cases, said the commission in its daily report.

Beijing has completed more than 90 percent of the reform and innovation tasks related to its "two zones" concept, a senior official of the city said on Thursday. The two zones are a demonstration zone for the service industry in Beijing, which was approved by the State Council in 2015, and a free trade zone, which was approved by the central government in September 2020.
