The Chinese mainland on Saturday reported 13 new locally-transmitted COVID-19 infections, the National Health Commission said on Sunday. Of the new local cases, six were reported in Guangxi, two each in Tianjin and Hebei, and one each in Beijing, Hunan and Guangdong, according to the commission.

The Main Media Center (MMC) for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics is under strict closed-loop management and features rigorous COVID-19 countermeasures, Beijing 2022 organizers said on Sunday. According to Chen Yu, executive deputy director of the MMC's venue operations team, the venue is separated from the city and operates well in security, transportation and COVID-19 prevention.

Hong Kong reported 351 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours on Saturday, a record high in two years, official data showed. The newly reported cases consist of eight imported cases and 343 local cases.
