China General Nuclear Power Corp, the country's largest nuclear operator, said its nuclear fuel assembly plant put into production in November will further ensure fuel supply to its projects at home and abroad. CGNPC Uranium Resources Co Ltd, a subsidiary of CGN, said the nuclear fuel assembly plant will supply 200 metric tons of uranium for fuel assembly each year for 20 years in China.

The "Hong Kong Health Code" system will be open for registration from 9:00 a.m. local time on Dec. 10, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government said on Thursday. Members of the public can register for an account online from that time, and the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile app 3.0 version will also be available for update on respective app stores at the same time, according to an online statement of the HKSAR government.

The Chinese mainland on Sunday reported 38 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Monday. Of the new local cases, 28 were reported in Inner Mongolia, seven in Heilongjiang, two in Yunnan and one in Hebei.

Northwest China's Gansu Province has replaced information signs with "electronic identities" for its 12,299 rivers, local authorities said. The e-ID refers to a QR code, which can be scanned to obtain basic information about the river – name, length, mouth and source, but also responsibilities of the river chief and the number of complaints hotline, said the provincial department of water resources.
