The ongoing China International Import Expo has witnessed several multinational pharmaceutical companies signing collaboration agreements with local healthcare authorities, medical intuitions and businesses to play up their respective advantages and contribute more to the building of the country's innovative healthcare ecosystem.

Chinese tax authorities will further implement preferential tax policies, including deferring tax on foreign-funded enterprises' reinvestment of profits, to support the country's opening-up strategy and enhance the confidence of foreign investment in China, according to officials from the State Taxation Administration.

People who come to Shanghai from, or have passed through, medium or high-risk areas in China are required to report to their neighborhoods or hotels within 12 hours of arrival, the city's pandemic prevention and control team said today. Those who come from, or have passed through, high-risks areas will be placed in centralized quarantine for 14 days. Meanwhile, they will receive four nucleic acid tests.

The Chinese mainland on Saturday reported 50 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Sunday. Of the new local cases, 21 were reported in Hebei, nine in Liaoning, six in Heilongjiang, four in Sichuan, three each in Henan and Yunnan, two in Gansu, and one each in Jiangxi and Ningxia.

Data from the General Administration of Customs released on Sunday showed China’s total imports and exports expanded 22.2 percent year-on-year to 31.67 trillion yuan in the first 10 months of 2021. Compared with the same period in 2019, the figure rose by 23.4 percent.
