As of Tuesday, a total of 2,103 China-Europe freight trains have passed through the border port of Erenhot in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region this year, up 16 percent year-on-year, according to the local railway authorities.

Chinese smartphone vendor Oppo and Japanese company Sharp have reached a global cross-patent license agreement, including patents for communication technologies and covering sales of terminal products of both parties. The cross-licensing agreement also ends all ongoing litigation between the companies worldwide on issues like patent infringement.

China's foreign trade for the whole of 2021 is expected to maintain relatively fast growth, although the year-on-year rate of increase will likely narrow in the fourth quarter due to a high comparison base last year, government officials and experts said on Wednesday.
