Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, has been on high alert after new local COVID-19 infections were reported on Tuesday. Heilongjiang Province had reported eight confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases by Wednesday noon, all in Harbin, the provincial health commission said.

The number of railway trips recorded in the Yangtze River Delta region during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday comprised one-fifth of the national total, the China Railway Shanghai Group said on Wednesday. From September 18 to 20, an average of more than 1.9 million daily railway trips were recorded in the region, and a total of over 7.6 million passengers took train trips during that time period.

Ant Group's virtual credit card service Huabei said it will gradually include users' latest credit performance and how they've repaid bills in a monthly report to the central bank's credit rating system. Ant's small loan affiliate Chongqing Ant Consumer Credit Co Ltd and other financial institutions offering credit lines to Ant users are responsible for filing credit rating information to the social credit system.
