China's low-carbon commitment, particularly the endeavor to achieve its carbon-neutral target, has become a new driving force for the country's inbound and outbound investment. The message has been signaled by global and Chinese investors at the ongoing 21st China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) which is held in Xiamen, east China's Fujian Province.

China's Beidou Navigation Satellite System, the BDS-3, can provide up to seven different services to users, a senior official said at a news conference on Wednesday. BDS-3's constellation network consists of 55 satellites deployed into three different orbital heights, a megaproject that spanned over two decades.

A new 400,000-ton bulk cargo terminal officially began operating in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, on Friday, improving the overall service capacity of Zhanjiang port.Four 400,000-ton vessels carrying iron ore were unloaded at the Leizhou peninsula terminal on Friday, Zhanjiang Port Group Co announced.

A cargo plane filled with goods, including auto parts and COVID-19 testing kits, departed from Changchun Longjia International Airport in Changchun, Jilin province, for Frankfurt, Germany, late on Thursday, Changchun Daily reported. The flight, which includes a stopover in Moscow, Russia, marked the official launch of a cargo-only route from Changchun to Russia and Germany.

On September 10, one close contact of the asymptomatic case found in Tokai Hotel in Yuexiu District tested positive for COVID-19, according to Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission. The individual, who works in Tokai Hotel, was quarantined for medical observation as the close contact of the asymptomatic case. Previous nucleic acid testing results on September 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 came out all negative. On September 10, the case tested positive. After that, the case was transferred to Guangzhou Eighth People's Hospital and was diagnosed as an asymptomatic case.

Shanghai ranked eighth among the top 30 global asset management centers with a grade of 83.7 points, according to the 2021 Global Asset Management Center Evaluation Index, which was released by the Shanghai-based CEIBS Lujiazui Institute of International Finance for the first time on Sept 9. New York tops the list with 96.7 points, followed closely by London and Boston.
