China on Sunday started to solicit public opinion for the detailed operation rules of the new stock exchange which is to be set up in Beijing, a primary platform for smaller firms to meet their financing needs. These rules, unveiled on the official website of China's National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), or the "new third board," where the novel bourse built upon, involved the procedures of listing, trading and membership management of the new stock exchange.

The Chinese mainland on Sunday reported 18 imported COVID-19 cases, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Monday. Seven of the cases were reported in Guangdong, four in Yunnan, two each in Shanghai and Sichuan, and one each in Fujian, Henan and Guangxi.

The newly detected COVID-19 patient in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong Province, was found to be associated with an imported case as the genetic sequencing of the patient is highly homologous to that of an imported case reported on Saturday, said an official from Guangzhou Health Commission Sunday.

Government procurement in China rose 11.8 percent last year as it played an increasing role in supporting economic and social development, showed data from the Ministry of Finance (MOF). The value of national government procurement reached 3.7 trillion yuan (about US$572.5 billion) in 2020, the MOF data showed.
