The Chinese mainland on Thursday reported no new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Friday. Thursday saw 28 new imported cases, nine of which were reported in Yunnan, eight in Shanghai, five in Guangdong, two in Henan and one each in Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Sichuan and Shaanxi.

Trade between China and Africa soared by 40.5 percent year-on-year in the first seven months of 2021, hitting a record high of $139.1 billion, the Ministry of Commerce said on Friday.

Online retailer JD.com has announced it will ban the sale of a total of 87 games, including Call of Duty, The Last of Us, Resident Evil, Super Mario Maker 2 and Animal Crossing on its marketplace. It will also strictly monitor other unapproved games in the future, the company said in response to new government gaming regulations.
