Southwest China's Guizhou province plans to build 38,000 charging piles for electric vehicles (EVs) by 2023, the provincial government has said.According to the action plan, 4,500 EV charging piles will be set up this year, with a further 5,000 in 2022 and 5,500 in 2023.

According to Dongguan Municipal Health Bureau, in accordance with the national and provincial deployment and the actual situation of the city, starting from July 24, Dongguan city officially launches COVID-19 vaccinations for minors aged between 12 and 17, which is expected to be completed by the end of September.

Southwest China's Chongqing municipality saw its cross-border highway freight service grow significantly in the first half of 2021, local authorities said. From January to June, a total of 1,666 trucks transported goods worth about 997 million yuan ($154.01 million), up 70 percent and 107 percent year-on-year, respectively, data from Chongqing Highway Logistics Base showed.
