The Chinese mainland on Monday reported two new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in Jiangsu and Yunnan respectively, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Tuesday. Also reported were 27 new imported cases, of which six were reported in Yunnan, five in Shanghai, three each in Henan and Guangdong, two each in Fujian and Hunan, and one each in Beijing, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Hubei, Sichuan and Shanxi.

Of the top 10 exporters of medical equipment to Indonesia, China accounted for the largest share of 8.67 million US dollars, or 26.65 percent of all of the archipelago nation's imported medical equipment during the two-month period, followed by Japan and South Korea.

China's foreign trade in the first half of the year posted the best performance in history, underpinned by the country's sustainable economic recovery and strong global demand. The country's foreign trade rose 27.1 percent year on year to 18.07 trillion yuan (US$2.79 trillion) in the first six months, showed data from the General Administration of Customs (GAC) on Tuesday.

Chinese police have located and rescued 2,609 missing or abducted children, including adults who had gone missing or were kidnapped as kids, since a nationwide campaign was launched in January to help reunite such victims with their families, the Ministry of Public Security said on Tuesday.
