China's lottery sales came in at 30.2 billion yuan ($4.67 billion) in May, data from the Ministry of Finance (MOF) shows. Sales of welfare lottery tickets totaled 11.32 billion yuan in May, while sports lottery sales came in at 18.88 billion yuan, according to the MOF.

Pagoda Group, China's leading retail fresh fruit platform, said it is looking to boost cooperation with countries under the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation mechanism despite the COVID-19 pandemic. "Despite uncertainties brought by the contagion, Pagoda will boost cooperation with LMC economies within the whole industry chain, especially in fruit production, processing and circulation," said Yu Huiyong, founder and chairman of Pagoda.

Macao's overall residential property price index in the period from March to May 2021 increased by 1.5 percent to 267.6 from the previous period from February to April 2021, the special administrative region's (SAR) statistics service said on Thursday.

China's civil aviation sector has been recovering steadily in the first six months of this year, the Civil Aviation Administration of China said on Friday. From January to June, 245 million passenger trips were handled by commercial flights, about 76 percent of the same period in 2019, Zhang Qing, deputy director of the development and planning department of the administration, told a news conference in Beijing.

The China-Europe freight-train service has handled 7,377 trips in the first half of this year, up 43 percent from the same period last year, data from the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. showed. The freight trains have carried about 707,000 20-foot equivalent unit containers of goods in the six-month period, surging 52 percent year on year.

The volume of freight carried on China's railways recorded a year-on-year increase of 8.9 percent in the first half of 2021 as economic activities steadily recovered. Railways transported about 1.85 billion tonnes of cargo in the January-June period, up 150 million tonnes compared to a year earlier, according to data from the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd.
