China sent a new meteorological satellite into planned orbit from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Monday morning.The satellite, Fengyun-3E (FY-3E), was launched by a Long March-4C rocket at 7:28am (Beijing Time), and this was the 377th flight mission of the Long March rocket series, according to the China National Space Administration.

The Shanghai Consumer Council has asked China Mobile's Shanghai branch to rectify pop-up ads that could not be switched off on its Internet Protocol TV service platform, the council announced today.Based on China's advertisement law, Internet operators are required to enable pop-up ads that can be turned off with one click on Internet pages, the council noted, adding that the act also violates consumer rights.

The city of Ruili in southwest China's Yunnan Province on Monday imposed entry and exit restrictions after the emergence of new COVID-19 cases.The city reported three new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday.
