S&P Global Ratings on Friday affirmed China's ratings at A+/A-1 with a stable outlook, according to a report from Reuters. China was likely to maintain above-average economic growth relative to other middle-income economies in the next few years, Reuters reported.

A new art museum will open to the public free next month at the core area of the Huangpu River waterfront in Yangpu District, known as the cradle of China's modern industries. The Oriental Fisherman's Wharf Art Museum in the landmark riverside structure features more than 100 stone carvings, porcelain, calligraphy and painting artworks, including some dating back to the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

China aims to launch its first manned mission to Mars in 2033 and build a base on the red planet in the following missions, according to the head of the country's major rocket manufacturer. Wang Xiaojun, head of the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT), outlined the plans in a speech via video link at the Global Space Exploration Conference (GLEX 2021) held between June 14 and 17 in St. Petersburg.

The southern Chinese city of Guangzhou has been taken off the list of medium-risk areas for COVID-19, with the last such areas downgraded to the low-risk category, local health officials said Saturday. Since new COVID-19 cases were reported last month, Guangzhou has reported 146 locally-transmitted confirmed cases and seven asymptomatic cases.

The resumption of normal operations at Yantian Port in Shenzhen, southern China's Guangdong province, will help stabilize electronics prices and address supply shortages of commercial goods in many parts of the world, government officials and experts said on Thursday.

The shortage of empty containers in China has eased as manufacturers have increased production capacity, vice-minister of transport Zhao Chongjiu said Thursday.The monthly production capacity of Chinese container manufacturers has now reached 500,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), Zhao said at a press conference.
