Manufacturers in China's Greater Bay Area are expected to see their orders and sales rebound in 2021, Singapore's Lianhe Zaobao reported Tuesday citing a survey by Standard Chartered.Respondents who participated in the survey said the manufacturers' performance in orders, sales, employment, wages and capital expenditure will improve this year, reflecting China's nationwide steady recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus said its local partner has started the fuselage-equipping project of the A320 family aircraft in Tianjin on Tuesday.The first China-equipped fuselage will be delivered in the third quarter of this year.

The Chinese mainland on Tuesday reported 24 imported COVID-19 cases but no new locally transmitted cases, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Wednesday. Among the imported cases, 12 were reported in Sichuan, six in Shanghai, three in Guangdong, two in Jiangsu, and one in Fujian.

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday morning spoke with the three astronauts stationed in the country's space station core module Tianhe. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), held the conversation from the Beijing Aerospace Control Center, speaking with Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo. The Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange launched a bulletin on the trading of carbon emission rights for the whole nation on Tuesday, according to the bourse's website.As per the bulletin, all carbon emission quotas should be traded via the trading system in the forms of agreement transfer, one-way bidding or other conforming methods.
