Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, saw the 1,000th freight train depart for Europe and Central Asia on Wednesday amid further expansions of the cargo train service, local authorities said.The train, carrying goods worth approximately $3.35 million, is expected to cross China's border through the northwestern land port of Horgos and reach Kazakstan in 12 days, according to the local railway operator.

China reported the world's first human infection of the H10N3 bird flu strain on Tuesday but said the risk of it spreading widely among people was very low. A 41-year-old man, a resident of Zhenjiang City in China's eastern province of Jiangsu, was hospitalized on April 28 after developing a fever and other symptoms, the National Health Commission said in a statement.

On June 1st, Guangdong Province reported a further new 10 cases, with 7 in Guangzhou and 3 in Foshan. 7 asymptomatic cases were reported, with 5 in Guangzhou and 2 in Shenzhen. During the period of prevention and control over COVID-19, foreign nationals in Guangdong province can call 1258088 (24 hour hot-line in English and Chinese) for inquiries or assistance at anytime.

To reduce the risk of virus transmission, people in key regions in epidemic prevention and control who have not completed nucleic acid testing, will find their health codes turning yellow. If the results are all negative, the resident's health code will return to green.
