Profits at China's industrial companies rose 0.7 percent year-on-year in the first 10 months, turning positive for the first time this year and compared with 2.4 percent slide in the first nine months, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.


The Dongfang 13-2 gas fields project, China's largest offshore high-temperature and high-pressure gas fields project, has been put into operation, its operator China National Offshore Oil Corp said on Wednesday.


China, with its rising refining industry, has driven global oil demand as the COVID-19 pandemic slashed it, and is emerging in the global refining industry shift, according to the International Energy Agency.


The Chinese mainland on Thursday reported no new domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases, with five newly confirmed cases all arriving from outside, the National Health Commission said on Friday.


Underpinned by solid global demand for exports and a peak of stock market's gain since 2015, China's economic recovery stabilized in November, according to a Bloomberg report on Thursday.


China has led the strong recovery of global trade flow since the summer, the Wall Street Journal reported in its Nov 25 story Global Trade Stages Rapid Recovery.The major exporter has increased its share of total exports, and left trade volumes in September less than 2 percent below their levels at the end of 2019, the Wall Street Journal found.


As domestic consumption recovery accelerates and new measures to expand the consumption are on the way, China's social consumption is expected to have a strong rebound in 2021, according to officials from the Ministry of Commerce on Friday.
