The Chinese Embassies in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of Lebanon have issued notices that: starting from September 1st, to further facilitate personnel exchanges between China and other countries, Pakistani citizens and Lebanese citizens may submit their visa applications to the local Chinese Visa Application Service Centers.

The Chinese mainland reported 10 newly imported COVID-19 cases Saturday, Xinhua reported citing the National Health Commission. With this, the total number of imported cases have risen to 2,573. While Guangdong and Shaanxi has reported three each of the newly imported cases, two cases were reported in Shanghai while one was reported in Fujian and Gansu provinces.

The Center for Language Education and Cooperation under China's Ministry of Education (MOE) has launched four international online platforms for learning the Chinese language. Besides the launch which was on Saturday, "Chinese Plus" cloud services, "Chinese Bridge" app and two other platforms were also on the scheduled agenda of the International Forum on Trade in Education Service.

China may propose an initiative to safeguard data security in order to protect the supply chain of global information technology products and services, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.

Guangzhou and Foshan recently issued an overall construction plan to establish a 629 square kilometers high-quality development integration pilot area for pushing urban integration in ecology, transportation, industry, culture and society.

The third Hebei International Industrial Design Week is expected to open in Xiong'an New Area in north China's Hebei province on Sept. 17, according to a press conference about the event on Thursday.


China is gearing up for a surge in domestic tourist trips as the COVID-19 epidemic has been mostly subdued, with high-speed train tickets to many destinations already gone for the first day of the National Day holiday on Oct 1.
