While a growing number of overseas game industry leaders are reaching into the Chinese market, more Chinese game developers and publishers are looking beyond the domestic market to a bigger arena.

 

Guangzhou, capital city of Guangdong province, launched a multi-language service platform on July 31 to better serve expats working, studying, travelling, and living in the southern Chinese metropolis. The hotline 960169, through which expats can get multi-language intepretation of government services, was jointly launched by the foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government.

 

The New Development Bank (NDB) -- founded by the BRICS nations of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa -- approved an important 825 million yuan ($119.56 million) loan to Shengzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, for a water supply and drainage project.

 

According to the National Energy Administration, Guizhou's photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 3.6 million kilowatts will receive 450 million yuan ($65.16 million) of national subsidies this year, ranking first in the country.

 

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met here Friday with foreign ministers from Malaysia, Mongolia, Timor-Leste, Canada and Australia.

 

A new luxury ro-ro passenger vessel built by Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Ltd for Sansha city in South China's Hainan province was officially delivered for use after a signing ceremony was held in Hainan's Wenchang city on Wednesday.

 

China plans to install more than 20,000 elevators by the end of this year to promote accessibility for the disabled and senior dwellers of old residential buildings that have limited modern equipment.
